Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 April 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Unity Music (“we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information — when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo.
  • Listening activity — songs you play, like, and add to playlists, along with timestamps, so we can personalise your library and recommendations.
  • Device information — device model, operating system, app version, and a device identifier used for analytics and anti-abuse.
  • Artist application data — if you apply to join as an artist, the profile and supporting information you submit.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • To personalise your home feed, recommendations, and the “Now Playing” experience.
  • To operate back-end infrastructure such as playback delivery, search indexing, and media processing.
  • To communicate with you about updates, security notices, and service-related announcements.
  • To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and policy violations.

3. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with trusted service providers that help us run the Service, and only to the extent necessary to provide it. These include:

  • Supabase — user authentication and database hosting.
  • Cloudinary — image hosting for cover art and artist photos.
  • Cloudflare R2 — delivery of audio streams.
  • Vercel — hosting of our web and API services.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

4. Data retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate operational purposes (for example, anti-fraud records).

5. Your choices and rights

  • You can review and update your profile at any time.
  • You can delete your account from the app; this removes your liked songs, playlists, and personal data.
  • Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights to access, correct, port, or delete your personal data. Contact us at the email below to exercise these rights.

6. Children

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and least-privilege backend policies — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated through the Service.
